MEMBER BENEFITS

24/7 Specialist Hotline

A 24-hour service for member clinics that require support with managing poisoned patients. The service can be reached on 1300 869 738 (from Australia) or 0800 869 738 (from New Zealand). Out of standard operational hours, your call will be diverted to our on-call Poisons Specialist.

Patient Referrals

When safe to do so, the Animal Poisons Helpline preferentially refers pets that require veterinary assessment to Animal Poisons Centre member clinics. This ensures that these poisoned pets are assessed and treated by a veterinary team that has access to the latest poisons information. A live incoming patient notification will be emailed to your clinic when a referral is made.

Complimentary Practice Listing

All member clinics get a clinic listing on the Animal Poisons Helpline website, which receives over 5,000 page views per month.

Online CPD Tutorials

Keep up to date with the latest in veterinary toxicology with our online CPD tutorials and webinars.

Promotional Pack

Access to print and digital media to promote your clinic, inform you clients that you are a registered Animal Poisons Centre member and show that you support best outcomes for poisoned animals.

Mycology Service

Proper care of an animal that has ingested a wild mushroom can seem like a daunting task. In these cases, a mycologist can prove invaluable as accurate identification of the fungus helps guide the path to appropriate treatment, improved outcomes, and a more refined prognosis. Member clinics can access discounted mycology services for rapid fungi identification and clinical advice.
