The Animal Poisons Centre is currently seeking expressions of interest for a new permanent part-time opening
As Australasia’s only animal poisons information service, the Animal Poisons Centre is a progressive organisation with a professional, passionate, cohesive and efficient team. We strive to deliver a world class service and know that our staff are key to achieving this.
We are currently accepting expressions of interest from experienced emergency veterinarians with a particular interest in toxicology. Successful applicants will need to have great communication skills, be highly efficient and be able to work well under pressure.
The position will primarily involve providing triage and first aid phone advice to pet owners, as well as risk assessment and detailed management advice to veterinarians who are managing poisoned animals. Additional roles may include clinical guideline development, development and delivery of poison prevention campaigns and any other activities that may further the aims of the organisation. The position will involve on-call after hours work, so applicants will need to be available for this.
The benefits of joining our team include the ability to work from home, and an opportunity to contribute to and shape a crucial service that is in its infancy in Australia. Training and support will be provided.
To register your interest, please submit your details below. Expressions of interest close on the 5th of September at 5PM AEST.
